PROJECT OUTLINE

Developed a series of web assets to advertise Halo Infinite's upcoming fifth season. Observed the lack of marketing outside of the 343 Industries' official blog and YouTube channel. Desired to showcase possible advertisement opportunities that would help generate interest for the title.

REFERENCES

INITIAL REVEAL

The first reveal provided the spark of inspiration. Established the tone and presented the aesthetic that would be used as the main background for web banners.

OFFICIAL BLOG

The essential source for understanding the content and the direction the studio was trying to take. Was the main source of imagery to be appropriated for the project. All imagery belongs to 343 and their talented artists.

Maintained the militaristic green and supplemented it with a lighter trim that's seen on the various thumbnails from 343 Industries. Decided that a red hue would provide the necessary contrast to pack the sort of punch that would catch the viewer's eyes. The various textures were again influenced by the established aesthetic, and became crucial to pushing a more gritty tone.

After identifying the more popular dimensions for web banners it was important to establish structure for each composition. Sought to balance flexibility with restraint when devising the modular grid for each banner. They suited my needs for consistency and stability.
